Congratulations Stephen - Saturday, May 31, 2008

During Memorial day weekend, Stephen and his family traveled to Cincinnati to participate in a clogging workshop at the King's Island conference center. Another reason for going was for Stephen to take a shot at competing in solo competition.

Since Stephen has never competed before he entered the amateur competition class.

I am proud to announce that not only did he win first place in his age category, but he won overall Grand Champion in the amateur division. Since this was a CCA sanctioned event, this qualifies Stephen to compete in the National competition in South Carolina this coming January.

Stephen started performing with us 2 ½ years ago. This achievement is a wonderful testimony his talent and dedication to clogging. Come see us and Stephen at one of our performances and if Stephen happens to be there give him a great big ATTABOY!!!

Loss of a Dancer - Wednesday, April 30, 2008

It has been some time since Judy Schlenz and her daughters have performed with us but it is still with much grief that we have to acknowledge her passing as a result of an auto accident Sunday April 27th. Judy and her daughters were a valuable addition to our group while they were involved.

I had often seen Judy out and about at various dance events and I know how much she loved dance. She had even graced our dance floor a few weeks ago and you could tell the passion and energy still burned. Our condolences go out to the whole Schlenz family but in particular Laura and Jessie who also shared their love of clogging with us.

Charlie Daniels Concert at Bloomington - Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Hey all, Tuesday March 18th Charlie Daniels came to Bloomington and performed at a St Judes benefit that Sharon and I were fortunate enough to attend. As you may expect it was an excellent concert!

Since I had just completed a routine to song Charlie Daniels had performed on the Time-Life Cd of praise songs recently released, I printed it out and was able to get Charlie to sign the cue sheet. Of course the original is going to be framed and hung on the wall of our studio, but I also scanned the sheet and put a copy of the signed cue sheet here on our site to share with anyone who wants a copy of it.
